Locke indicates that man is created good but learns to be evil from society. For each chapter, you must:
1. identify at least three things the creature learns from society (cite)
2. identify how Shelley describes each season in each chapter. What is she hinting at?
3. summarize the stories within the creature's story (Shelley always tells stories within the story) like Safie's
Cite all work.

Do we need to do the summary sentences and questions for all these chapters?
ReplyDeletePei Qing-
ReplyDeleteI think we need to do the summary sentences and questions because she did not say not to do them.
I am a bit confused. Is anyone doing the summary sentences and pg. questions?
ReplyDeletematt- no, i think were over that. if she doesnt mention it on this thing, we wouldnt need to do it. were really looking at the imagery in her writing rather than the plot, anyway. doing the page summaries would be a waste of time :P
ReplyDeleteok so we DO have to write out the summaries and the questions for each page as usual?
ReplyDeleteMaureen- What if she expects us to know that we should be doing the sentence summaries and pg. questions, as we have done them from time to time?
ReplyDeleteDo I do the summary questions or not...Im so confused!!! If she wanted us to do it wouldnt she post it up??
ReplyDeleteJoin the club, Zury. I don't think anyone knows what to do. In class today, I asked Mrs. Karvunis if we had to do the summary sentences and questions, but she told me that she did not know. I'm guessing that she's still debating on whether or not to make us do them. Hopefully she will answer our question on the blog. If not, I would believe that we SHOULD do them, as we have done from time to time. HOWEVER, Maureen has a point that we are focusing more on the imagery and aspects of nature, rather than summarizing the pages. However, it's your choice and hopefully we make the right one.
ReplyDeletewell i have something to say...
ReplyDeleteon pupil path she just says that we are supposed to answer the questions (^) for each chapter.
and for every chapter that we are supposed to do summary and questions she tells us so I'm not going to do them because of what i just found on pupil path
Thank you, Denise for clearing up this entire puzzle.
ReplyDeleteYour Welcome =)
ReplyDeleteanother question do we have to answer the questions ^ for each chapter or for all the chapters as one?
Denise, I think it would be for each chapter.
ReplyDeleteOk =) thanks Jennifer =)
ReplyDeletehopefully the people who do not go to the blog or pupilpath know what to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat does Karvunis mean by Safie?
ReplyDeleteKarvunis was refering to Safie's story. Her story was about her father, Felix and her. Shelly put stories within stories, like Walton's story was interjected by Victor's. Then Victor's story had another story, the creature's. The creature's story then had Sofie's story.
ReplyDeleteThanks but I only needed to know who she was.
